1:35 M-109/A2-A3G Howitzer

The self-propelled howitzer M109 was developed at the explicit request of the U.S. Army, which needed a heavy howitzer that was highly maneuverable in any terrain and intended to replace the outdated M-44. The first M109s were put into service in the early 1960s and quickly demonstrated the project's viability. The M109 was also continuously improved to adapt to changing operational requirements. The 155 mm main armament was enhanced as well, with the introduction of the M185 cannon with a longer barrel and significantly greater range starting from version A1. The subsequent version A2 included further improvements to the weapon, aiming system, ammunition, and target acquisition system. It was produced in large quantities and was intended to equip the American armed forces and the key allied countries of NATO.
