Question: How should the pizza be prepared on the stone? Is the stone greased a little with oil? Can you roll out the dough directly on the cold tray or does the stone have to be preheated first? How should this pizza stone be cleaned?
- Never oil a pizza stone!
- Be sure to preheat the empty stone high and long enough so that the pizza only needs to be baked for a few minutes. A pizza shovel is also absolutely necessary for this, otherwise you will burn your fingers!
- I only clean my stones with household paper after they have cooled. Some stains remain, but this does not affect the functioning of the stone at all.
