Does the word ‘ON’ need to appear on the screen for the programme to work?

It doesn’t say ‘ON’ on mine. When the watering is running, a tap icon and the time remaining appear at the bottom of the display.
If you wish to use programmes P1–P3, you must select ‘ON’ in programming mode. The programme will then run within the selected time range. However, neither ‘ON’ nor ‘OFF’ will be displayed.
The best thing to do is simply to test it: enter a programme with a start time set 1–2 minutes ahead and see if it starts.
