An inverter, also known as a power inverter, is a device that converts the direct current (DC) from a car battery or a cigarette lighter socket into approximately 230 V alternating current (AC). This is the exact voltage found in every household socket (Type F) throughout Europe. The inverter is an excellent choice for anyone traveling in a car, motorhome, or truck – it gives you the freedom to use all the necessary devices that require a power outlet. The use of a modified sine wave ensures a simple inverter design, resulting in a lower failure rate and making it very lightweight.
The device is designed to be as user-friendly as possible. On the front of the inverter, there is a power socket compatible with plugs used throughout Europe, as well as a USB port for charging smartphones, e-book readers, and any other devices with a USB connection. On the back of the inverter, there is a fan that provides adequate cooling for the device. The entire unit is housed in a small but very robust casing. The casing is made of high-quality aluminum, making it resistant to mechanical damage and shocks during travel. Additionally, the inverter is very lightweight due to the materials used.
