4. Gardena Smart Sensor

The Gardena smart Sensor measures soil moisture through an extra-large sensor zone exactly where it matters, at the roots of the plants. Whether deep in the lawn and flower beds or in shallower flower pots. In combination with the Gardena smart Water Control or smart Irrigation Control from the Gardena smart system, the sensor ensures a demand-oriented and efficient watering of the plants. The smart Sensor transmits the current status data to the Gardena Gateway via radio. If the sensor measurement indicates that the soil is moist enough, the next watering is skipped. Additionally, the smart Sensor also measures the near-ground temperature.
