Emulsion paint

Dispersion paints are viscous coatings consisting of a chemical dispersion (usually an emulsion) of binders and solvents, colorants (usually pigments) and additives. In this general sense, the majority of liquid paints (varnishes, paints) are dispersions. Colloquially, this refers to commercially available wall paint, as it is found on pallets in every DIY store. Strictly speaking, however, these are synthetic resin dispersion coatings.
