The purple willow, botanically known as Salix purpurea, is a native garden plant that thrives in both sunny and semi-shady areas. Growing to a height of around 3 metres, it is well suited to gardens and landscapes that want to create a natural, wilderness-like atmosphere.
The flowering period of this plant is in March and April, and during this time the purple willow displays its yellow flowers, which are particularly insect-friendly and provide valuable food for bees and other pollinators. This makes it an excellent choice for bee-friendly gardens.
As a hardy plant, the purple willow is also well suited to colder regions and survives the winter months without any problems.
Note: Please note that the plant may look different from the pictures depending on the vegetation cycle.
