The purple magnolia, botanically known as Magnolia 'Susan', reaches a height of up to 3 metres and prefers a sunny location. It is hardy, which means that it can also withstand colder temperatures.

The purple magnolia blooms from April to June. During these months, it unfurls its striking purple-coloured flowers.

Container plants
