With this pressure switch EPC-2, you ensure a constant water pressure when using domestic waterworks, garden pumps, and other water pumps. The switch monitors the water pressure and turns off the pump as soon as the defined pressure is reached. If the pressure drops, the pressure switch ensures that the pump is turned back on.
Thanks to the pump control, you can automatically start and stop the water pump depending on the opening and closing of the respective consumer. In case of water shortage, the pump stops, and the dry run protection is activated.
The pump control consists of a hydraulic and a replaceable electronic part:
The hydraulic part includes:
• a shut-off valve
• a valve that responds to flow changes
• a molded and reinforced plastic body
• a membrane and spring that respond to pressure changes
• a safety valve to prevent water leakage in case of membrane damage
The electronic part includes:
• a tight housing made of self-extinguishing, molded plastic
• a single, tested, and certified electronic board with insulated circuit paths
• a relay with a switching capacity of approximately 100,000 cycles in uninterrupted operation with a maximum load of 1.1 kW
• a varistor for surge protection
If your pump has more than 1.1 kW of power, you should use a commercially available power contactor or an appropriate power relay. A 380-V power contactor can also control 380/400-V three-phase pumps.
The pressure switch is supplied with two cables.
