Wiltec Expansion tank 50L for domestic waterworks

The replacement tank for use in sanitary cold/hot water systems is suitable for nearly all domestic waterworks, solar and pressure maintenance systems, as well as garden pumps. This 50-liter pressure tank (tank type 50 LVS) is delivered to you with an EPDM membrane included. The tank is designed for a maximum pressure of 5.6 bar, is supplied in a horizontal version with a mounting plate for a domestic waterworks, and is suitable for wall mounting. The container is tested for tightness by the manufacturer at up to 5.6 bar water pressure. The membrane tank has a connection of 32.89–33.25 mm (old: 1 inch). Additionally, the pressure tank features an integrated valve (Schrader valve/car tire valve) to control or regulate the counter pressure for the membrane. The hole diameter of the mounting feet is 8 mm, and the elongated holes of the pump plate are 10 mm. The pressure tank is equipped with a pump mounting plate. These pressure vessels are welded from quality steel sheets according to UNI-EN standards and are equipped with a heat- and aging-resistant EPDM membrane. The EPDM membrane is easily replaceable.

About the pre-pressure in the membrane tank: The pre-pressure should be approximately 0.1–0.2 bar below the pump's switching pressure and must be checked at regular intervals. Failure to do so may result in damage to the EPDM membrane of the pressure membrane tank. A more precise calculation can be made using the formula "Pump switching pressure x 0.9". Example: Switching pressure at the pressure switch of the domestic waterworks is set to 1.5 bar: 1.5 bar x 0.9 = 1.3–1.4 bar. Important: The tank pressure should only be inflated or released when the pressure in the water system has been released. Caution: Before opening a membrane tank, be sure to release air and water pressure!.
