However, removing the insulation is not permissible and also endangers your own safety. With the Wiha slimTECHNOLOGY, specifically developed for electrical applications, the protective insulation is integrated into the blade, allowing for blades that are up to 33% slimmer. This enables easy access to deep-seated screw and spring elements with the slimBits. The insulated slimBits are subjected to a piece inspection according to the international standard IEC 60900, allowing for safe work on live parts up to 1,000 V AC. 6 mm slimBits can only be used with the slimVario bit holder and slimTorque VDE bit holder. Tested according to IEC 60900.
