Multi-pole surge arrester according to the requirements of Class II according to IEC 61643-11, EN 61643-11:2013 serves as overvoltage protection and is used in applications according to IEC 61643-12. By using a high-performance varistor, the requirements for the verifiability of overvoltage protection devices of Class II are met according to the standards. The arrester is installed close to the supply of the system to be protected in a standard installation or distribution enclosure. The VPU II 1 1000V/40 kA AC is used in single-phase networks. It features a thermal disconnection device for the varistor. When there is no longer any protection, the color in the display window changes from green to red.
