Surge protection. Measure, control, and regulate. Overvoltage protection with individual components. With varistor in terminal design. Metal oxide varistors are used in the terminal design. They are approved for a maximum sinusoidal AC operating voltage, which is printed on the component. Any voltage greater than that specified is safely dissipated within 25 ns. Varistors are used for medium to high power applications.
