The potential multiplication terminal receives the 24V supply voltage and the 0V potential through the internal power contacts of a preceding bus terminal. By snapping the bus terminal into place, an automatic connection of the potentials to the subsequent terminals occurs via the power contacts. The 0V supply is available at all sixteen push-in CAGE CLAMP connections for the field level, and the 24V potential is passed on without being used directly. A tool with a 2.5mm blade (210-719) is required to open the push-in CAGE CLAMP connections.

The device is suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions: significantly extended temperature range, higher voltage resistance, and EMC stability, as well as increased vibration and shock resistance.
