Note: In the operating principle of the threaded load pressure brake, the axial braking force is generated by the load itself and is therefore proportional to the size of the load. The load is securely held in any position; to lower it, the difference between the braking and load moment must be overcome. All Yale universal devices are equipped with this feature. The automatically acting chain release allows for quick attachment of the unloaded chain; when a load is applied, the threaded load pressure brake automatically engages again, securely holding the load. The slip clutch (optional upon request) prevents excessively high load absorption, thereby increasing the lifespan of the lifting device.
