The pizza stone from Toboli has a surface area of 330 x 330 mm and is made of unglazed cordierite. The open-pored surface of the stone allows the excess moisture from the pizza dough to be absorbed well, so that the pizza base is nice and crispy. In addition, cordierite is particularly stable compared to fireclay and does not crack as quickly.
With the pizza stone, the pizza is baked evenly, as the stone absorbs the heat and releases it over its entire surface, so that every part of the pizza base is reached. The stone can withstand temperatures up to a maximum of 500 °C.
The pizza stone is suitable for the Toboli gas pizza oven (WilTec article no. 63448), but can also be used with other pizza ovens if the dimensions and temperature conditions match.
