With the material moisture meter, you can easily and quickly measure the moisture content of firewood and building materials. This robust measuring device is ideal for on-site inspections at construction sites or during new builds. The operation is incredibly simple: just remove the protective cap, insert the measuring electrodes into the object to be measured, and you're done. The handy device features a measurement scale for building materials and wood. It is particularly important to measure the moisture content of firewood before using it in a fireplace. If the wood cells contain more than 20% moisture, not only does the heating value decrease, but it also leads to smoke, tar, and soot formation.
