Product details

The thread former from Tecwerk, according to DIN 2174 (DIN 371), is a high-precision tool specifically designed for machining metric ISO standard threads. Made from high-quality HSS-Co steel and coated with TiN, this tap offers excellent durability and resistance to wear. The straight flutes and back-cut flanks enable efficient chip removal and ensure clean thread formation. With a thread length of 11 mm and a shank diameter of 3.5 mm, this thread former is ideal for machining through and blind holes in non-ferrous metals as well as in steels with a minimum elongation at break of 10%. The precise tolerance of 6HX ensures an exact fit and high quality of the produced threads.
