The thread former DIN 2174 (DIN 371) from Tecwerk is a precise tool designed for the production of metric ISO standard threads. Made from high-quality HSS-Co steel and coated with TiN, this tap offers high wear resistance and durability. The straight flutes and ground cutting edges enable efficient machining in various materials, including non-ferrous metals and steels with a minimum elongation at break of 10%. With a thread length of 16 mm and a shank diameter of 6 mm, this tap is ideal for through and blind holes. The precise tolerance of 6HX ensures an exact fit and optimal results in thread manufacturing.
