Spax Countersunk Multi-Head T-Star Plus T20 Partially Threaded Wirox

The SPAX typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact surface of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit optimally in the screw head. The best possible power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables fast work, and it is significantly more efficient than all other drives. The countersunk head (or flat countersunk head) carves a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be sunk without additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface. The screws with partial thread are excellently suited for fastening thin components like wood-based panels, boards, or floorboards to thicker components like beams or posts. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shaft remains in the attachment component. This creates maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least as thick as the attachment component. The term 4CUT refers to the square shaping of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during insertion and create space for the screw's core diameter. The spreading pressure that the core exerts in the wood is thus reduced, preventing the wood from splitting near the edges. The necessary torque of the cordless screwdriver is also decreased, as the core of the screw does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.
