The SPAX typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to sit perfectly in the screw head. The optimal power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables fast work, significantly more efficiently than with any other drives. The countersunk head (also known as flat countersunk head) carves a recess into the wood with its polygonal underside ("pockets") and can therefore be sunk without the need for additional countersinking of the screw hole. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface. The screws with partial thread are excellent for fastening thin components such as wood-based panels, boards, or floorboards to thicker components like beams or posts. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shaft remains in the attachment component. This creates maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least as thick as the attachment component. The term 4CUT refers to the square shape of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during insertion and create space for the screw's core diameter. This reduces the spreading pressure that the core exerts on the wood and prevents splitting near the edges. Additionally, the required torque of the cordless screwdriver is reduced, as the screw's core does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.
