This design features cylindrical and tapered bore. Spherical roller bearings have two rows of rollers with a common spherical raceway in the outer ring and two inclined raceways on the inner ring. This combination provides a range of advantageous properties that make them indispensable for many demanding bearing applications. Spherical roller bearings are self-aligning and therefore insensitive to misalignment of the shaft to the housing or shaft deflections.
