Needle bushings of type HK are needle bearings with a thin-walled outer ring that is produced without cutting. Their key features include a very low cross-section height and high load capacity. They are primarily used where the housing bores cannot be designed as raceways for needle cages and where space-saving and economical bearings are desired. They are pressed into the housing bore and sit firmly in place. This allows for simple and cost-effective manufacturing of the housing bores when no shoulders or snap rings are needed for axial retention. The outer ring is made of hardened steel sheet, and the cage-guided needle cage forms a self-holding unit. Main dimensions: ISO 3245:2007 / DIN 618-1:1993 / DIN 618-2:1993, as far as standardized.
