Substrate pre-treatment: The joint flanks must be clean, dry and free of grease and dust. Completely remove old sealant, other residues and impurities as well as mould. To achieve visually perfect joints, we recommend masking the edges of the joint with a suitable adhesive tape, which is removed again immediately after sealing. When constructing joints, ensure sufficient joint dimensions and apply closed-cell backfill material, e.g. (Sista Joint Filler Profile), to the joint to prevent three-edge adhesion. When creating a triangular joint, both bonding surfaces must be at least 6 mm wide. Compatibility with other sealants must be checked, especially when renovating joints. Processing: 1) Remove the safety tab at the bottom of the dosing tip 2) Turn anti-clockwise by (90°C) 3) Dose by gently pressing down the lever 4) After use, turn the dosing tip back by (90°C) 5) To protect against drying out, place the red cap back on the dosing tip Apply the sealant without bubbles, fill the joints completely. Smooth the sealant immediately after spraying with a suitable tool, e.g. Sista joint smoothing set. For this purpose, the smoothing tool can be slightly moistened with smoothing agent (max. 5% soap solution) and the joint levelled. Protect the joint from the effects of water (e.g. rain) until a resilient skin has formed. Spray and shower water resistant after approx. 12 - 24 hours (depending on climate). Load-bearing after approx. 48 hours (depending on climate). Processing should ideally take place at temperatures above +10°C. Low temperatures have a delaying effect on curing. Cleaning: Fresh silicone that has not yet set can be removed with white spirit. The same applies to cleaning the tools. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically or residues can be removed using a silicone remover.
