Not suitable for:
Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), acrylic glass (PMMA), Teflon (PTFE), natural stone, bitumen, acrylate, PU joints, silane-modified polymers, underwater applications, and direct contact with food.

Instructions for use | Substrate pre-treatment: The joint flanks must be clean, dry and free of grease and dust. Completely remove old sealant, other residues and impurities, as well as mould. To achieve visually perfect joints, we recommend masking the edges of the joint with a suitable adhesive tape, which is removed again immediately after sealing. When constructing joints, ensure that the joint is sufficiently dimensioned and apply closed-cell backfill material, e.g. Pattex/Sista Joint Filler Profile, to the joint to prevent three-edge adhesion. Application: Cut open the cartridge above the thread, e.g. using the Pattex/Sista smoothing cutter, then unscrew the tip of the cartridge and cut off according to the joint width. Insert the cartridge into the gun. Then apply the sealant without bubbles. The joint must always have a width of at least 10 mm - maximum 30 mm. Smooth the sealant immediately after spraying with a suitable tool, e.g. Pattex/Sista joint smoothing tool set. For this purpose, the smoothing tool can be slightly moistened with clear, relaxed water and the joint can then be levelled. Protect the joint from the effects of water (e.g. rain) until a resilient skin has formed. Cleaning: Fresh and not yet set Sista sealant can be removed with spirit. The same applies to cleaning tools. Cured sealant can only be removed mechanically using a suitable tool, e.g. Sista Joint Shark, or by using a silicone remover, e.g. Pattex/Sista Silicone Remover. Storage: Store tightly closed, dry, cool and frost-free. If stored in a cool and dry place, Sista Window & Glass Silicone can be used for up to 18 months in the unopened original container. |
