SIRIUS Soft Starter S2 45 A, 22 kW/400 V, 40 °C AC 200-480 V, AC/DC 110-230 V spring-loaded terminals. The SIRIUS 3RW30 soft starter is designed for standard applications for the gentle starting of three-phase asynchronous motors. It allows for smooth starting, reduces current peaks, avoids voltage fluctuations in the supply during startup, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. Additionally, it offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, is maintenance-free, and easy to handle. The integrated bypass allows for a very compact design and ensures lower heating in the control cabinet. There are worldwide approvals (e.g., IEC and UL/CSA). The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V across a wide power range with different control supply voltages and are consistently equipped with screw and spring-loaded connections. For 3RW30/40, there are additional variants with a 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3, as well as all 3RW44, also offer thermistor motor protection. With the optional connection module, the soft starters can be mounted on circuit breakers, even for the variants with spring-loaded connections.
