The SIRIUS 3RW30 soft starter is designed for standard applications for the gentle starting of three-phase asynchronous motors. It allows for stepless starting, reduces current peaks, avoids voltage fluctuations in the power supply during start-up, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. Additionally, it offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters. The soft starter is maintenance-free and easy to handle. The integrated bypass ensures a compact design and lower heating in the control cabinet. There are worldwide approvals, such as IEC and UL/CSA. The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V and offer a wide power range with different control supply voltages as well as screw and spring clamp connections. For models 3RW30/40, additional variants with 24 V control supply voltage are available. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3, as well as all 3RW44, also offer thermistor motor protection.
