Siemens SIEM safety position switch

Safety position switch with latching and a holding force of 1300 N. It features 5 actuating directions, a spring force locking mechanism, a rear escape release, and a front auxiliary release with a lock. The operating voltage is DC 24 V. The actuator monitoring is done with 2Ö/1S, and the magnet monitoring is also done with 2Ö/1S. The actuator 3SE5000-0AV0 must be ordered separately.

Mechanical safety switches SIRIUS 3SE5 are used for position monitoring of movable protective devices. They ensure that protective doors, covers, or safety flaps/grids remain closed as long as a hazardous condition exists. The drive heads can be rotated 4x90 degrees without screws. There are 5 possible actuating directions for the actuator, one of which is at the end.

The switching elements ensure a very high contact reliability and can only be operated with a separately coded actuator that provides increased tamper protection. LEDs conveniently indicate the current status of the device. The devices are globally certified (IEC, UL). With the appropriate switch configuration, the highest safety requirements according to PL e or SIL 3 can be met.

The devices are available with spring or magnetic force locking, in plastic with a holding force of 1300 N or in metal with a holding force of 2300 N. A wide range of 3D coded actuators is available for order. Some variants are optionally available with LED status indicators. The 3SF1 series with direct connection to the AS-Interface bus system completes the portfolio. The actuator is not included with the safety switches and must be ordered separately.
