The drive head for limit switches 3SE51 is equipped with a stainless steel lever and a 22 mm plastic roller, and it operates at temperatures as low as -40 °C. It is used for position and orientation detection of machine components as well as for position monitoring of safety devices in extreme environmental conditions down to -40 °C, such as in wind turbines, the food industry, or railway applications.
The devices are suitable for use in extreme environmental conditions due to their high protection class. They offer enhanced corrosion protection, are shock and vibration tested, and are globally certified (IEC, UL). With the appropriate switch configuration, the highest safety requirements according to PL e or SIL 3 can be met.
Various housing sizes in plastic or metal are available. Additionally, variants with a separate actuator or with locking are offered. Depending on the version, various drives and separate actuators are available as accessories.
