The Altivar 212 frequency inverter can power 3-phase asynchronous motors. It has an IP55 protection rating and features a built-in EMC filter. It operates with a rated power of up to 3 kW and a nominal voltage of 380 V to 480 V AC. Its design is based on eco-energy, reducing energy consumption by up to 70% compared to conventional control systems. Thanks to the technology that reduces cable heating, the Altivar 212 drive offers immediate, trouble-free operation. Additionally, it eliminates the need for extra options such as a line reactor or a DC reactor to mitigate current harmonics. It weighs 10.55 kg and has the following dimensions: 230 mm wide, 340 mm high, and 208 mm deep. It has been specifically designed for the most common fluid management applications in tertiary sector buildings (HVAC), such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pumping systems. It complies with international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (immunity as well as conducted and radiated EMC emissions). It is also CE, UL, CSA, C-Tick, and NOM certified. The Altivar 212 offers optional motor reactors, which can increase the maximum cable lengths between the drive and the motor and limit disturbances at the motor terminals. It is designed for vertical mounting (+/- 10°) on a plate, thanks to four mounting holes. The Altivar 212 inverter can be easily adapted to all building management systems due to its numerous functions and the standard integrated communication protocols Modbus, METASYS N2, APOGEE FLN P1, and BACnet. It is environmentally friendly and complies with regulations such as RoHS, WEEE, etc., for environmental protection.
