This very large kohlrabi remains buttery tender.

Sow from April to May in a hobby box or forcing bed. Transplant strong seedlings outdoors from mid-May, spacing them 50 x 30 cm (the further apart, the larger the kohlrabi). Incorporate vegetable fertilizer before planting and after establishment.

Plant early seeds in 8-cm pots.
