The Viton O-Ring Splicing Kit is a versatile, portable kit housed in a sturdy plastic case, containing all the necessary components for the easy and quick creation of virtually any static O-Ring sizes for sealing during maintenance or prototype applications. The FPM (Viton) O-Ring cord has a temperature range of -20 °C to 200 °C. After selecting the appropriate size of the O-Ring cord and cutting it to the approximate length, the ends are trimmed to the correct length and terminated using the disposable blade and the cutting and splicing tool. A drop of the special cyanoacrylate adhesive is then applied to one end of the cord, and the two ends are joined, with proper alignment ensured by the splicing tool. After 30 seconds, the O-Ring is ready for light mechanical stress.
