Nitrile rubber (NBR) is not suitable for use with esters, ozone, ketones, aldehydes, chlorinated and nitrated hydrocarbons. These metric nitrile rubber O-rings are made from nitrile, the most commonly used elastomer in the sealing industry. They offer excellent resistance to petroleum products and perform well at low or high temperatures. Nitrile is particularly abrasion-resistant and an ideal choice in most industries.
