Flanging tool for aluminum and copper pipes

To use the flanging tool, ensure that the pipe end is cut at a right angle to the pipe axis and deburred with a pipe deburrer. Slide the flanging nut over the pipe and insert the pipe end from below into the clamp. It should protrude about 3 mm from the clamp. Tighten the clamp firmly: if you feel resistance, it should be tightened another half turn. Now apply a drop of oil to the flanging cone and position the flanging tool over the clamp. The undercuts on the flanging tool must engage at the bottom of the clamp. Align the flanging tool centrally over the pipe end. Then turn the handle onto the pipe end until the flanging cone makes contact. Perform the specified number of half turns (6 - 8 mm: 4 half turns, 10 - 12 mm: 5 half turns, 14 - 16 mm: 6 half turns). Finally, unscrew the flanging cone, detach the flanging tool from the clamp, and remove the flanged pipe.
