With the PISA fuse module, for the first time the 24 V power supply voltage is also monitored and protected against voltage dips in addition to pure current monitoring of the individual outputs. A protective shield in the input stage of the PISA module works like a controllable valve and only lets through enough current to ensure that the supply voltage does not drop below 21 V. This enables a safe and uninterruptible supply for sensitive consumers when they are connected to the same power supply as the PISA module. Consumers that are insensitive to short voltage dips or that are themselves the cause of faults on the 24 V supply are connected to one of the four current-monitored outputs of the PISA module.
