Product details
Hydrangea 'Bavaria' is a unique two-colored hydrangea that produces beautiful blue and white flowers. Two-colored hydrangeas are modern, popular, and the ultimate eye-catcher that adds a summery touch to your garden, terrace, or balcony. Additionally, the 'Bavaria' hydrangea is robust and blooms abundantly and for a long time. It flowers from July to September and can grow up to about 120 cm tall.
Care
It is important to cut off the dead flowers in the summer. However, leave the old flowers on during the winter months, as they provide protection for the new flower buds against frost and strong winds. In March, when there is no longer a risk of frost, you can cut back all the brown, old flowers just above the first or second healthy bud. This type of pruning encourages the growth of new shoots and ensures that the flower size does not decrease. All types of hydrangeas do not like dryness. Water them well during dry spells, especially in spring and summer. It is not advisable to give them just a little water occasionally. It is best to provide a large amount of water all at once. From time to time, hydrangeas may become somewhat bare at the base during the blooming period. The leaves may also turn yellow, which is almost always due to dryness.
