Care is important for these plants. Therefore, cut off the dead flowers. In winter, however, it is best to leave the dead flowers standing. In March, when the danger of frost has passed, all brown, old, dead flowers can be cut back to just above the first or second healthy bud. This form of pruning encourages the growth of new shoots and ensures that the flower size does not decrease. All hydrangeas do not like dry conditions. Water them well when dry, especially in spring and summer. It is not advisable to only water them a little every now and then. It is best to water them abundantly all at once.
