Crassula ovata 'Minor', also known as Dwarf Jade, is a compact variety of the popular succulent Crassula ovata. In Feng Shui philosophy, the Crassula symbolizes financial luck, which is why it is also referred to as a money tree. The Crassula Minor features small, glossy green leaves that grow densely along the stems, giving it a bushy appearance. The Crassula ovata can produce lovely pink or white flowers in the spring, enhancing its beauty even further. However, this is more likely to occur in warmer climates in southern Europe. In cooler climates, the flowers almost never appear. Nevertheless, even without flowers, the plant is a beautiful addition to any space.
Care
Crassula ovata 'Minor' prefers bright, indirect sunlight but can also tolerate partial shade. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, as overwatering can lead to root rot. When watering, ensure that excess water drains from the bottom of the pot to prevent the soil from becoming too wet. Fertilize the plant monthly during the growing season in spring and summer with a balanced, diluted fertilizer to promote healthy growth.
