Our auger bits are made from high-quality, hardened carbon tool steel. This material choice allows for high cutting performance and durability. Additionally, the auger bit is equipped with a centering tip, enabling very precise centering of the drill. A pull-in thread located at the centering tip allows the drill to draw itself into the wood, reducing the amount of pressure needed while drilling. The included pilot cutter ensures that a clean and tear-free edge is produced even at low speeds. The auger bit also features excellent chip removal. It is suitable for drilling through holes in beams and rafters, as well as for creating deep blind holes. A taper towards the shank of 1:50 to 1:100 is designed to prevent jamming in the hole. The set is delivered in a practical wooden box.
