The presence of a pre-cutter also ensures a clean and tear-free edge at low speeds, while the snake drill excels in chip removal. It is suitable for drilling through holes in beams and rafters, as well as for creating deep blind holes. A tapering from 1:50 to 1:100 towards the shank is designed to prevent jamming in the hole.
