Our auger bits are made from high-quality, hardened carbon tool steel. This material choice allows for high cutting performance and durability. Additionally, the auger bit features a centering tip, enabling very precise centering of the drill. With a pull-in thread located at the centering tip, the drill is drawn into the wood, reducing the amount of pressure needed while drilling. The also present pilot cutter ensures a clean and tear-free edge even at low speeds, while the auger bit also excels in chip removal. The auger bit is suitable for drilling through holes in beams and rafters, as well as for creating deep blind holes. A tapering towards the shank of 1:50 to 1:100 is designed to prevent jamming in the hole.
