Our auger bits are made from high-quality, hardened carbon tool steel. This material choice allows for high cutting performance and durability. Additionally, the auger bit is equipped with a centering point, enabling very precise centering of the drill. A pull thread located at the centering point allows the drill to pull itself into the wood, reducing the amount of pressure needed while drilling. The also present pilot cutter ensures that a clean and tear-free edge is produced even at low speeds. The auger bit also features excellent chip removal. It is suitable for drilling through holes in beams and rafters as well as for creating deep blind holes. A tapering towards the shank of 1:50 to 1:100 is designed to prevent jamming in the hole.
