Our auger bits are made from high-quality, hardened carbon tool steel. This material choice allows for high cutting performance and durability. Additionally, the auger bit features a centering point, enabling very precise centering of the drill. A pull-in thread located at the centering point allows the bit to draw itself into the wood, reducing the amount of pressure needed while drilling. The presence of a pilot cutter ensures a clean and tear-free edge even at low speeds, while the auger also excels in chip removal. The auger bit is suitable for drilling through holes in beams and rafters, as well as for creating deep blind holes. A taper from 1:50 to 1:100 towards the shank is designed to prevent jamming in the hole.
