The advantage of a machine tap over a hand tap set is that only one pass is required to create the thread. This tap is used for producing metric ISO standard threads. At the end of the cylindrical shank, there is a square for fitting into a tapping machine. The tap is manufactured according to DIN ISO 529 and is subject to tolerance class h6.
