Knipex StepCut XL

The Knipex StepCut XL is a versatile tool that functions both as a bolt cutter and a side cutter. With its innovative power joint and long handles, it allows for a noticeably easier cut compared to conventional cable shears. The design is intended to provide an enormous capacity, enabling the effortless cutting of single-stranded copper or aluminum cables up to 35 mm², multi-stranded cables up to 70 mm², and fine-stranded cables up to 120 mm². The two cutting areas are specially designed to efficiently cut both smaller and larger cables, while the front cutting edge allows for the gradual separation of very large cables. The slim head ensures better accessibility, and the pinch protection guarantees safe operation. The blades are additionally laser-hardened, which increases their durability and cutting hardness to about 56 HRC.
