Product details

Mortise chisel heavy, robust, according to DIN 5143, with a heavy, round beechwood handle and leather disc "Kirschen". The chisels are hand-forged from special tool steel with a high carbon content. They have a hardness of ± HRc 61 over the entire usable length of the blade, well above the DIN standard, and produce a smooth cut due to their flawlessly polished surface. The chisels are factory-sharpened with a cutting angle of 25°. This angle is suitable for soft to medium-hard wood. We recommend honing the edge of our chisels with a sharpening stone before first use. Mortise chisels are particularly suitable for chiseling mortise holes.
