Product Information: The Protector Forest 2.1 GTX in orange features an upper made of hydrophobic suede with a thickness of 2.8 - 3.0 mm for cut protection, which meets the EN ISO 17249:2013 standard with a cut protection level 2 (24 m/sec). The lining is made of GORE-TEX® Performance, providing waterproof and breathable properties, along with a highly abrasion-resistant lining that includes a fleece mid-layer for optimal climate comfort in all seasons.
The insole is made of synthetic and fleece materials that are moisture-absorbing, dimensionally stable, and torsion-resistant, reducing selective pressure from stones. The HAIX® protective cap is anatomically shaped and padded, designed in a wide format for comfort, cushioning, and moisture-wicking properties. A separate heel cup ensures good cushioning and foot guidance.
The sole is a stable and abrasion-resistant VIBRAM rubber/PU sole with a robust off-road profile. The PU cushioning wedge is lightweight and provides shock absorption and good rolling comfort. The outsole is heat and fuel-resistant, non-marking, and complies with the EN ISO 20345:2011 standard.
The HAIX® climate system utilizes the pump motion generated while walking to transport moisture to the ventilation openings at the shaft and tongue. The HAIX® two-zone lacing system allows for separate adjustments in the foot and shaft areas.
Additional features include an easy-to-use lacing system, no side seams, a stable edge sole, rubber protection for the toes and heels for extended durability, and a surrounding rubber edge strip for stabilization and protection against stones and spikes.
