The Philodendron, also known as the tree friend, belongs to the genus of the tribe Philodendreae and is a climbing plant. The approximately 250 species of Philodendron are native to the tropical rainforests from Florida through Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean Islands to tropical South America, where they grow as vines in the canopies of tall trees. Due to their air-purifying properties, they are excellent for indoor spaces. The leaves of this unique plant are thick, leathery, and richly colored, featuring a striking and interesting leaf shape.
