Product details

The high-performance Dremel Max 9903DM milling cutter made of tungsten carbide is coated with titanium nitride, which allows it to last twice as long as uncoated standard accessories and remove 20% more material than the regular 9903. The extremely stable cutter is made of hardened steel (HSS) and coated with titanium nitride (TiN), making it suitable for all demanding DIY projects that require high precision. The 3.2 mm accessory is ideal for more aggressive shaping, smoothing, or grinding of hard materials such as metals, hardened steel, fired ceramics, cast iron, plastic, and hardwood.

The milling cutter is perfect for projects like engraving in metal or glass, carving stone, or removing burrs from cast parts. The cylindrical shape of the milling cutter allows for deep material removal, cutting smooth surfaces, rounding edges, as well as bevel and V-cuts. The tip of the accessory is suitable for slots with a rounded bottom and grooves, cuts with a rounded side, and V-cuts when the tool is held at a 45-degree angle.

To achieve good results, the accessory and the Dremel multifunction tool should do the work without applying excessive pressure. Use the sides of the accessory head at an angle of less than 90 degrees. If the accessory rattles more than it removes material, increase the speed for a cleaner result.

Recommended optional attachments include the flexible shaft, the tool stand for suspending the flexible shaft, the precision handle, and the 3-in-1 multi-vise. The recommended speed varies depending on the material: hardwood 18-24,000 RPM, softwood 25-35,000 RPM, aluminum/brass 12-17,000 RPM, shell/stone 18-24,000 RPM, ceramics 18-35,000 RPM, plastic 9-11,000 RPM, and steel 25-35,000 RPM.
