Awnings from Detex, robust and sturdily made The Detex awnings made of Oxford fabric offer both natural sun protection and protection from harmful UV rays with UV50 protection. HDPE and Oxford fabric are also UV-stabilised and offer a 95% shade factor. Both materials are highly water-repellent, with the HDPE fabric (high-density polyethylene) offering 275 gr/m² and the Oxford fabric (100% polyester) 210 gr/m². The awnings are pre-impregnated and have a wind and water-repellent coating. This coating should always face upwards for optimum protection. Tension the sail with a gradient of at least 20% to support the water-repellent function of the fabric. This allows the water to run off and prevents water pockets from forming. A concave cut (curved inwards) ensures a perfect and clean cut.
